… at least when you’re part of THIS King Family. And yes, they are as cute and fun as they look! This shoot was a birthday gift for Patti from Seaton & the girls, which I just happen to think is such a great idea! They were one of the millions of families out there who hasn’t had family photos taken in YEARS, and I love that they “get it”… the “it” being that you just have to get a little excited about it, set a date and DO IT! And with a High School Senior and a College Senior in the family, this was a great time to capture this stage in their lives before everyone moves onto those next steps (sniff, sniff…). Also, I love it when my kids walk by my computer when I’m editing the images and say, “Hey, I know them!” (It makes them feel like they know celebrities or something…) But this family does have celebrity status at church, as they are ALL involved in either high school, junior high or the children’s ministries departments, and they are definitely one of those families you can only hope and pray your own family will slightly resemble… the kind where the kids actually love hanging out with their parents and they joke around all time and there is a love and respect for each other that is obvious from a mile away (and the kind of family that goes out for ice cream after a photo shoot!) So thank you, King Family, for being so much fun! And thank you for the ice cream!

This is Caroline’s last year of preschool… sniff, sniff. And after 8 years and 3 kids at LVPPP, I think the reality is starting to hit me (as if Kindergarten Round up a few weeks ago wasn’t enough…). So I’m feeling the need to pay just a little more attention to this last stage of our lives. And what better way, than to tag along on a field trip and take a ton of pictures! Her class went to Heritage Park in La Verne for an Orange Pickin’ Tour – and it was the cutest thing! They got a tractor ride through the orange groves, got to squeeze their own orange (and drink the juice!), then potted some adorable Johnny Jump-Ups in their orange rind, ready to plant! It was the first time we’ve done this trip and I just thought it was so fun!
